The artist, Rozenn Leboucher was plebiscited in Chine
The young photographer from Bandol who exposes in the Ravaisou Galery until the 15 of October needed to go away a few days. Simply because she had to go to China, Guangzhou, in order to receive a Grand award for the 'Humanity photo awards' in her category 'rites & customs' on her subject 'Funeral in Togo'.
She was also nominated in the category 'festivities' with ' holy week in Sicily'. This competition organised in partnership with UNESCO happens every 2 years. It brings together, almost 1700 participants, representing 78 countries.
To the encountering of peoples and ethnics groups
It's in fact the gratefulness of the competition by UNESCO that satisfies Rozenn Leboucher. This same person, who takes worldwide inventory of the intangible heritage with a sensitivity exacerbated, and who goes tirelessly to the encountering of minorities ethnics, gives witness to their humanity throughout their rites and their 'us & customs'.
“ I consider this reward such as a culmination to my global work. Nonetheless, I will never stop photographing these traditional festivals. It is like an important bracket in my life in order to persevere in my life project” explain the artist.
“This competition was also an opportunity to exchange our experiences. We managed to create a worldwide photographer network”, gladden Rozenn.
Still based on our leading topic: the human being and its application in daily life. “In addition, without no doubt, our travel was well organised and 'supervised', official ceremony, spectacular exhibitions and cultural show in bonus.”
We can conclude on this sentence of the artist “ when the rivalry doesn't exist, it's the world that won a little more!”
